Designed for kids both big and small, Chester makes for a great grown-up bed with its sophisticated style and child friendly fabric

The sturdy frame of this bed is constructed from sustainably harvested, solid plantation rubber wood in combination with quality medium density fibreboard. Reinforced joinery ensures structural integrity.

Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) is a widely used, engineered timber product made from wood fibres which are adhered together using heat and pressure. The result is an exceptionally strong, smooth panel which does not expand and contract when exposed to humidity as solid wood is prone to do. Consequently, MDF makes a reliable, practical and robust material from which to manufacture furniture and is an excellent core for a foam filled upholstered exterior.

The fully padded headboard, footboard and side rails are filled with premium grade foam for both comfort and durability.

For strength and durability, Bedtime uses rolled bed slats made from engineered ply. This slat roll foundation supports the mattress so no mattress base is required. (Mattress is sold separately)

Our hardwearing range of anti-pill, commercial quality woven fabrics (80% polyester/20% rayon) are rub, mould and stain resistant.

Solid hardwood legs are finished with a non-toxic stain and sealer.

Upholstered beds are not compatible with Bedtime trundles or bed guards.

We all need a bit of TLC every now and again. So does our furniture. With just a little bit of extra care you can keep your Bedtime furniture in tip top shape.

Vacuum regularly using a suitable upholstery attachment.

Treat spills and stains immediately for best results. Blot up as much of the spill as possible with a clean, dry white cloth and resist the temptation to rub the affected spot. Then blot the stain with a clean white cloth, working from the outside towards the centre of the mark.

A foam fabric cleaner suitable for polyester may also be used but be sure to check the instructions of you cleaning product first and always test it initially on a small, hidden area.

To minimize fading, avoid placing your upholstered bed in direct sunlight. The darker the fabric, the more susceptible it is to fading.

Avoid jumping on our beds. Whilst our ply slats are tough, our beds aren’t designed with budding gymnasts in mind. After all, our beds are beds, not trampolines.

Should your bed develop a squeak, check the bolts and retighten as necessary.

Unlimited Flat Rate Shipping to Standard Shipping Zones

We’ve tried to make things simple. No matter how many items of furniture you purchase in a single order, if you live in one of our standard delivery areas, there’ll only be one fixed rate delivery charge based on the largest item in your cart. Which means the more you buy, the better off you’ll be. For example, if you just buy a bed, you’ll pay exactly the same freight fee as if you added a mattress, trundle, bedside or dresser. So browse away, the sky’s the limit! It makes sense to fill that cart when the freight fee is capped.

Darn – looks like I don’t live in a standard shipping zone!

Australia’s a mighty big place. If it looks like your delivery address falls out of our standard shipping zones call us on
1300 287 771 or drop us a line at hello@bedtime.com.au and we’ll be able to talk you through some options. We’ll go to the ends of the earth (well, as far as we can) to get our furniture to your home.

Bedtime is only able to ship within Australia.

How long do I need to wait?

If all your items are in stock, your order will usually leave our warehouse within 3 working days. Delivery times will vary depending on your delivery destination. Our customer support team will call you once your order has been placed and go through everything with you.

Ordered multiple items?

To keep our shipping costs as low as possible, we charge per shipment rather than per item. This means we generally won’t ship until all the items on your order are ready to be dispatched. If this looks like it could be a problem, give our customer support team a call on 1300 287 771 and let’s talk.

What type of delivery service should I expect?

When shipping pieces of furniture, we choose to use carriers with years of furniture delivery experience because our years of experience have taught us that this is the best way to ensure products arrive in tip top condition. Our shipping service does not include the removal of packaging nor the assembly of furniture. In some delivery areas where only a single driver service is available, we are unable to offer to take furniture upstairs.

You can choose to collect large items Monday to Friday from our Melbourne warehouse. There is a few simple rules to bear in mind when collecting large goods, so one of our customer support team will be in touch once you place your order to go through everything with you.
