The sturdy frame of this bed is constructed from premium grade medium density fibreboard.
Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) is a widely used, engineered timber product made from wood fibres which are adhered together using heat and pressure. The result is an exceptionally strong, smooth panel which does not expand and contract when exposed to humidity as solid wood is prone to do. Consequently, MDF, when painted, makes a reliable, practical and attractive material from which to manufacture furniture or alternatively, an excellent core to support a handsome veneer finish.
For strength and durability, Bedtime uses rolled bed slats made from engineered ply. This slat roll foundation supports the mattress so no mattress base is required. (Mattress is sold separately)
Bedtime only uses non-toxic paint and/or sealers free of lead, phthalates and formaldehyde on all its furniture products. Our finishes are not only safe – they also create a smooth, low sheen surface that is both robust and easy to clean.

We all need a bit of TLC every now and again. So does our furniture. With just a little bit of extra care you can keep your Bedtime furniture in tip top shape.
Wooden furniture needs a regular rub-down and a gentle dust off with a soft, untreated cloth. Spills can be tackled with a soft, damp cloth and wiped dry with a lint free fabric.
Never use chemical cleansers or abrasives which contain ammonia, alcohol or petroleum. Moreover, we caution against the use of furniture polish as it can accumulate over time and leave a residue.
Avoid dragging sharp or rough objects across the surface of your wooden furniture.
Over time, air and sunlight will change the colour of natural wood and painted finishes. We recommend that you keep your furniture out of direct sunlight and we encourage you to rotate any items placed on your wooden furniture to allow a more uniform colour to develop.
Natural timber will expand and contract with seasonal changes in humidity. Keep moisture levels as constant as possible in your home to minimize movement and guard against warping of the wood.
Avoid jumping on our beds. Whilst our ply slats are tough, our beds aren’t designed with budding gymnasts in mind. After all, our beds are beds, not trampolines.
Should your bed develop a squeak, check the bolts and retighten as necessary.

We’ve tried to make things simple. No matter how many items of furniture you purchase in a single order, if you live in one of our standard delivery areas, there’ll only be one fixed rate delivery charge based on the largest item in your cart. Which means the more you buy, the better off you’ll be. For example, if you just buy a bed, you’ll pay exactly the same freight fee as if you added a mattress, trundle, bedside or dresser. So browse away, the sky’s the limit! It makes sense to fill that cart when the freight fee is capped.

How long do I need to wait?
If all your items are in stock, your order will usually leave our warehouse within 3-10 working days. Delivery times will vary depending on your delivery destination. Our customer support team will call you once your order has been placed and go through everything with you.
Ordered multiple items?
To keep our shipping costs as low as possible, we charge per shipment rather than per item. This means we generally won’t ship until all the items on your order are ready to be dispatched. What type of delivery service should I expect?
When shipping pieces of furniture, we choose to use carriers with years of furniture delivery experience because our years of experience have taught us that this is the best way to ensure products arrive in tip top condition. Our shipping service does not include the removal of packaging nor the assembly of furniture. In some delivery areas where only a single driver service is available, we are unable to offer to take furniture upstairs.
You can choose to collect large items Monday to Friday from our Melbourne warehouse. There are a few simple rules to bear in mind when collecting large goods, so one of our customer support team will be in touch once you place your order to go through everything with you. All furniture on our website has boxed dimensions to help make the decision whether a collection is practical for you or not.
