FURNITURE WARRANTY

The Bedtime furniture range is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of delivery. This warranty is against faulty workmanship and faulty materials subject to the terms below.

The Bedtime warranty does not cover wear and tear, neglect, abuse or misuse of your goods, loss or damage (including fading, swelling, rust or corrosion) due to unreasonable exposure to water, heat or weather; loss or damage due to fire, smoke, explosion, lightning, sunlight, infestation by animals or boring insects, damage by animals generally or theft, or accidental damage or loss caused by a third party. Moreover, it does not extend to the commercial use of any product.

The natural characteristics of the materials used in the manufacture of Bedtime furniture are not considered defects for the purpose of this warranty. Reclaimed pine, for example, will have variations in nail holes, knots and grains. This is the natural character of the product and not deemed to be a flaw.

As parents ourselves, we understand that as much as children love their furniture, they are often not as careful with it as we would like. Damage caused to products by rough play (including jumping on a bed) is not covered by this warranty. Surface scratches, chips, marks, dents or breakages reported beyond 7 days of delivery will be considered consequences of fair wear and tear and therefore outside the terms of warranty. Harm caused to items by cleaning products in a manner inconsistent with our published care instructions is not covered by Bedtime’s guarantee.

Like many new products that have been enclosed in packaging and introduced into a home, evidence of an odour is not out of the ordinary. Any odour you detect when your furniture is initially delivered and unpacked is generally a short term issue and should not last any longer than 2 weeks. Bedtime will not accommodate odour related claims within 30 days of unpacking goods to ensure items have had sufficient opportunity to air.

Bedtime will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss of profits or other financial loss or damage arising out of defective, damaged or wrongly delivered goods, over and above the value of the actual goods themselves supplied by us. Monetary claims or demands for additional discounts to compensate for customer disappointment, over and above Bedtime’s obligation to repair, replace or refund will not be entertained. This does not affect your statutory rights.

This warranty extends to the original purchaser of the goods only and to the original delivery address.

As expressly indicated at the point of sale, ex floor model stock or factory seconds are sold without a warranty.

Should the need to make a warranty claim arise, please contact support@bedtime.com.au and provide your sales invoice number, address, contact details and a summary of the problem. Relevant, legible digital images must also be attached to this communication. We will then notify you whether the claim is valid via telephone or e-mail within a reasonable period of time. Warranty issues cannot be resolved on the spot as they require scrutiny by furniture experts.

In the event of a valid warranty claim, Bedtime will firstly endeavour to repair the defective goods free of charge. If a repair is not possible, you will be offered a replacement and if a suitable replacement is not available, you will be offered a refund of the original purchase price.

As expressly indicated at the point of sale, ex floor model stock or factory seconds are sold without a warranty.

The provisions of Bedtime’s furniture warranty apply in addition to your statutory consumer rights in relation to faulty or inaccurately described goods. These rights are not affected by Bedtime’s warranty.

MATTRESSES WARRANTY

The Bedtime 5 Star Mattress Warranty:  15 years

The Bedtime 4 Star Mattress Warranty: 5 years

The Bedtime mattress warranty protects against defects in materials and workmanship for between 5 to 15 years from date of delivery depending on the model.  This is provided that the defect is not a result of normal wear and tear, or a natural characteristic of the material used. The mattress must be cared for in accordance to the care instructions provided on the website and on the label of the product.

This warranty is void if the mattress is burnt, cut, stained, dragged, used in a commercial environment or outdoors, exposed to harsh cleaning products, sunlight, moisture or heat, or be judged by Bedtime to be damaged as a consequence of abuse, negligence, alteration or act of God.

We encourage our customers to try and test our mattresses; they are on display and accessible in all of our showrooms. Bedtime is unable to guarantee the comfort of any of its mattresses; a mattress that is considered too hard or too soft is a personal opinion and not deemed by Bedtime to be a manufacturing defect.

For reasons of personal hygiene, Bedtime is unable to refund the purchase of a mattress which has been removed from its original packaging.

Like many new products that have been enclosed in packaging and introduced into a home, evidence of an odour is not out of the ordinary. Any odour you detect when your mattress is initially delivered and unpacked is generally a short term issue and should not last any longer than 2 weeks. If you continue to have concerns regarding the odour, we recommend sprinkling bicarbonate of soda on the mattress, leave for as long as possible, then vacuum to remove it. Alternatively spraying the mattress with a fabric deodoriser may assist. Bedtime will not accept odour related claims within 30 days of unpacking goods to ensure items have had sufficient opportunity to air.

Bedtime always recommends using a mattress protector in tandem with a mattress.

This warranty is extended to the original purchaser at the original delivery address. Shipping charges may be payable if a mattress needs to be returned to our warehouse.

If a repair is not possible you will be offered a replacement and if a suitable replacement is not available, you will be offered a refund of the original purchase price.

The provisions of Bedtime’s mattress warranty apply in addition to your statutory consumer rights in relation to faulty or inaccurately described goods. These rights are not affected by Bedtime’s warranty.
