Furniture purchased during the Closing Down Sale is covered for 30 days from the date of purchase under the following conditions;
The Bedtime furniture warranty protects against defects in materials and workmanship 30 days from the date of purchase. This is provided that the defect is not a result of normal wear and tear, or a natural characteristic of the material used.
Should the need to make a warranty claim arise, please contact [email protected] and provide your sales invoice number, address, contact details and a summary of the problem. Relevant, legible digital images must also be attached to this communication. We will then notify you whether the claim is valid via telephone or e-mail within a reasonable period of time. Warranty issues cannot be resolved on the spot as they require scrutiny by furniture experts.
In the event of a valid warranty claim, the purchaser must return the item to the Bedtime Melbourne warehouse at their expense. If a repair is not possible, you will be offered a replacement and if a suitable replacement is not available, you will be offered a refund of the original purchase price. All delivery costs are the purchaser’s responsibility.
As expressly indicated at the point of sale, ex floor model stock or factory seconds are sold without a warranty.
The Bedtime warranty does not cover fair wear and tear, neglect, abuse or misuse of your goods, loss or damage (including fading, cracking, swelling, blistering, rust or corrosion) due to unreasonable exposure to water, damp, heat or weather, loss or damage due to fire, smoke, explosion, lightning, sunlight, infestation by animals or boring insects, damage by animals generally or theft. Moreover, it does not extend to the commercial use of any product.
Damage caused to products by rough play (such as jumping on a bed), impacts and accidents are not covered by this warranty. Surface scratches, chips, marks, dents, tears, fabric piling or breakages reported beyond 5 days of delivery will be considered consequences of fair wear and tear and therefore outside the terms of warranty. Damage caused by improper assembly or removal of packaging is not covered under warranty. Harm caused to items by cleaning products in a manner inconsistent with our published care instructions is not covered by Bedtime’s guarantee. Damage caused by dragging, shifting, repositioning or relocating furniture is not covered under warranty.
The natural characteristics of the materials used in the manufacture of Bedtime furniture are not considered defects for the purpose of this warranty. Reclaimed pine, for example, will have variations in nail holes, knots and grains. This is the natural character of the product and not deemed to be a flaw.
Like many new products that have been enclosed in packaging and introduced into a home, evidence of an odour is not out of the ordinary. Any odour you detect when your furniture is initially delivered and unpacked is generally a short term issue and should not last any longer than 2 weeks. Bedtime will not accommodate odour related claims within 30 days of unpacking goods to ensure items have had sufficient opportunity to air.
Bedtime will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss of profits or other financial loss or damage arising out of defective, damaged or wrongly delivered goods, over and above the value of the actual goods themselves supplied by us. Monetary claims or demands for additional discounts to compensate for customer disappointment, over and above Bedtime’s obligation to repair, replace or refund will not be entertained. This does not affect your statutory rights.
This warranty extends to the original purchaser of the goods only and to the original delivery address.
Mattresses purchased during the Closing Down Sale are covered for 30 days from the date of purchase under the following conditions;
The Bedtime mattress warranty protects against defects in materials and workmanship 30 days from the date of delivery. This is provided that the defect is not a result of normal wear and tear, or a natural characteristic of the material used. The mattress must be cared for in accordance to the care instructions provided on the website and on the label of the product.
This warranty is void if the mattress is burnt, cut, stained, dragged, used in a commercial environment or outdoors, exposed to harsh cleaning products, sunlight, moisture or heat, or be judged by Bedtime to be damaged as a consequence of abuse, negligence, alteration or act of God.
We encourage our customers to try and test our mattresses; they are on display and accessible in all of our showroom. Bedtime is unable to guarantee the comfort of any of its mattresses; a mattress that is considered too hard or too soft is a personal opinion and not deemed by Bedtime to be a manufacturing defect.
For reasons of personal hygiene, Bedtime is unable to refund the purchase of a mattress which has been removed from its original packaging.
Like many new products that have been enclosed in packaging and introduced into a home, evidence of an odour is not out of the ordinary. Any odour you detect when your mattress is initially delivered and unpacked is generally a short term issue and should not last any longer than 2 weeks. If you continue to have concerns regarding the odour, we recommend sprinkling bicarbonate of soda on the mattress, leave for as long as possible, then vacuum to remove it. Alternatively spraying the mattress with a fabric deodoriser may assist. Bedtime will not accept odour related claims within 30 days of unpacking goods to ensure items have had sufficient opportunity to air.
Bedtime always recommends using a mattress protector in tandem with a mattress.
This warranty is extended to the original purchaser at the original delivery address. Shipping charges will be payable if a mattress needs to be returned to our warehouse.
